What type of safety precautions should I take before I pet sit for the first time?

There are various actions you should take prior to accepting a dog into your house for the first time.

For example, you will need to “dog proof” your house, which includes both inside and outside (if you have a yard).

Additionally, you will want to know as much as you can about the dog you will be caring for.
